The Puerto Rico Dental Association, USA, Inc. is a non-for profit organization that was established in 2008 by Dr. Lauro Medrano, Dr. Ivan Vazquez, Dr. Jose Santana and Dr. Jose Vicens.
Our Mission Statement: "To be the voice of Puerto Rican Dentists in organized dentistry while keeping our members informed of current issues and providing them with continuing education."

President: Ivan A. Vazquez, DDS
Dr. Vazquez graduated from New York University College of Dentistry having completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Puerto Rico. This was followed by his completion of a Specialty Program in Pediatric Dentistry. He is the owner of a Private Practice in Hauppauge, New York and is an Attending for the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at St. Barnabas Hospital. Dr Vazquez is an active member of the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association and is the immediate Past President of the Suffolk County Dental Society. He and his wife, Dr. Claudia Mahon-Vazquez, live in Suffolk County and have four children. |

Vice President: Melvin Velazquez, DDS
Dr. Velazquez received his DDS Degree from New York University College of Dentistry. He is in Private Practice with his wife Dr. Maribel Montes and they have two children, Paola and Rafael. |
Secretary: Juan Maysonet, DDS
Dr. Maysonet received his DDS degree from New York University College of Dentistry in 1992 after getting his Bachelor degree in biology in 1988. He also holds a fellowship in Implant Dentistry from Brookdale Hospital and New York University. Staying in the cutting edge of dentistry is very important to Dr. Maysonet. He belongs to the Academy of General Dentistry, The American Dental Association and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He and his wife, Iraida, have two children, Elizabeth and Jean.

Dr. Marin-Rojas attended New York University College of Dentistry where she received her DDS degree in 1994. She subsequently completed a residency program at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center where she is currently an Attending. Dr Marin-Rojas is a member of the ADA, NYSDA, 1st District Dental Society and the Puerto Rican Dental Association. She has a private general practice in Union Square, New York. She lives in Queens with her husband and three children.
